+    This song was nominated to be on the [[album:lofam|Land of Fans and Music]] album, an unofficial compilation of Homestuck fanmusic. However, I chose to submit [[track:beginnings-press-start-to-play|Beginnings]] and [[track:megadancevania|MeGaDanceVaNia]] over it. I'm actually really proud of this remix; I'm usually terrible at slow songs, but this one just works. It's suitably bittersweet, and a sombre take on an event otherwise presented in a light-hearted manner.

+    The first of my three entries to the Homestuck Music Contest, the other two being [[Vodka Mutiny]] and [[track:daywalker-rise-contest|Daywalker ~Rise~]].

+    This didn't get in, even though I felt that it was my strongest contender. I hoped that it could serve as the "Showtime" for the Alpha kids, and modelled it specifically after [[track:showtime-original-mix|"Showtime"]] and [[track:dissension-original|"Dissension,"]] with a recognizable motif repeated in different styles.

+    Fun fact: I came up with the last 1 minute of the song or so first; I got the idea to use punchy snares to simulate Jake shooting everywhere. I quite like the result!
