Recent pencil drawing of Whisper and Lanolin. It's Kinktober and we reused this day's prompt from Vinqock on birdsite.

In a lot of ways this feels like our first... successfully deliberate anthro art? It marks a bit of a creative turning point, anyway. We'd done plenty of form practice before this, but making shapes come out like we wanted was — sort of new to us, here. And exciting!

We debated over spreading Whisper's arm across Lanolin's back and over her arm. In the end it became key to the piece—we've come back to this thinking about the S-shape silhouette of just the four hands, a lot. That's more like emergent composition than purposeful framing, but it worked out nicely.

We also reused the pattern-background going forward. Vaguely harkens to really early art we'd do, more abstract pieces. It's nice to give that space to fit alongside the very "here are some real actual tangible characters, PLZ enjoy" style we've been going for more, now.
