But one of those is just that it [the february drawing] was the drawing our sketchbook was open to, for all those months...

We made some real friends during april or so, and started feeling more comfortable with them going into june

in the end mostly not friends we’d end up sharing our nsfw art with haha, but - through that we got a bit more comfortable with ourselves too, slowly, mostly in the background

The Whisper drawing there [current page] is when we realized, collectively but also each individually, that art was... a way we could really... do something that was just for ourselves, just an act of care that no one else would ever decide - if we could or would give to ourselves

<3 makes perfect sense to me

it lead more or less directly into tangle figuring herself-himself out haha, and

yeah really directly, wow
just three days later

and that 100% is what got us drawing. Like, I’ve said it before, but we owe everything to Tangle letting herself experience that moment.

The first like... drawing Of Me happened about a month later... we’d been doing mostly Sonic-ish forms and tried a more human sort for this one

and that was a breakthrough for me lol, even if it probably felt pretty chill then and there

there’s the impression that we came into our own with some of our long long-lasting style and expressiveness pretty quickly, and we did, but it was all right at that time, and all stemmed from that Whisper drawing at the front

also it was deadass our first drawing of a naked animal person who was us LOL
