+    Also, upon loading, this Flash cues up the song "Megalovania" by Toby Fox, which, you know, at the time was no big deal. Just another cool song from the greater discography dropped into one of these animations. But then years later he [[track:megalovania-undertale|used it again]] in *Undertale,* thus somewhat rebranding the public's association with it. Does that mean it's fair to say it's more of an *Undertale* song than a *Homestuck* song now? This question, of course, is completely ridiculous, since the answer is: it's neither. It still is, always has been, and always will be, a Vriska song.

     I've always liked the idea behind [[album:mobius-trip-and-hadron-kaleido]], and the mysterious character canvas that the album brought across. So, from there, I wanted to contribute my own ideas of how MTaHK were represented, and ended up with Embittered Shore. I wanted the piece to have that [[artist:michael-guy-bowman|'Bowman']] quality to it, while still refraining from outright copying his ideas off in any particular way - the heavy use of guitars and fleeting synths was my way of capturing the emotion that Bowman injects into his music, to bring across his characterisation. Ultimately, the piece ends the way it started - it is a brief window through which the troubled characters may be projected and represented.

+    My goal with this track was to create an alternate version of [[Darling Kanaya]], except more reverent and mature.

+    [[artist:andrew-hussie|Andrew]] asked if it was possible to make a more downbeat version of [[track:karkats-theme|Karkat’s Theme]]. I started from scratch, creating a version without the goofy sound effects but keeping the eclectic orchestral-chiptune palette.

+    It starts a little slow, but I think it fits the mood. Unlike the original track, this isn’t a song about an irate leader on the warpath - it’s about a messed up kid working his way through his own disillusionment.
