     This song started off with me noticing how the chord progressions for flare and old secret are based on the same descending tetrachord bass motif (similar to the one used in megalovania) but with different executions and upper voices. So I tried to blend them together just for some arrangement practice since that was a thing I was doing at the time and it ended up turning into this whole big thing. The idea for it to represent the crazy journey that Hussie has been taking us through over the years - starting off deceptively simple and just growing into this complex intertwined mess of weird time shit and paradoxes and black holes and self-referencial madness - came surprisingly late into the process but helped me make the final call on some arrangement details that I think help it "tell a better story" if that makes sense. (And yes, I know Under The Hat and Pumpkin Cravings aren't REALLY PS tracks but come on you and I both know they FEEL like Problem Sleuth.)

     Originally, [[artist:makin]] had signed up to do this song for CANH. At around early-mid October he offered up the spot, and I took it. I played around with several ideas, including remixing Hello Zepp in a polka style similar to [[track:reveilleawesome-sad-polka-mix-with-gong-no-vocals|Reveilleawesome]] from [[album:cool-and-new-homestuck|CANH 1]], before finally settling on the idea of using Hello Zepp, and adding in relevant motifs to the Flash animation, in my normal song style. The whole Kermit the Frog thing is a reference to the Cheerfulbear Muppet Babies comics that, at least as far as I know, was the origin of the references to Saw seen in Homestuck. I feel like the song could have been better polished, but it's nice to finally have completed a song for this team and get to see it released

This section was made in the span of about 2 days, after the people originally slotted in for this section bailed/didn't finish/were rejected. I think it kind of shows? Still, even if I'm not entirely happy with my piece for this collaboration, it at least blends well with the next section. (Fun fact, originally, the second half of this was just snow halation layered over the original audio. Sadly, that was rejected, but I kept its memory alive with a snow halation piano arrangement instead.)

     all the songs ive made for the team, going back to when i went by the name Sir Felix, i feel very VERY conflicted about a lot of them, especially things like licord that i don't exactly look fondly of since at the time, i made it because i genuinely wanted to make a song instead of making a joke or something (obviously what i wanted to make and what was actually made are different though), but this song i feel pretty proud of, without having to have made it super complex or anything
     i made this song around the time i was into Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (read the VN or watch the anime etiher way it's very good), and i was really wanting to repliacte a song that kinda brings the vibe of a song youd hear in an early or mid 2000s video game or visual novel, hence why i specifically put the bitrate a little bit low (i don't exactly remember what bitrate i made it originally though lol)

     I'm about to show you a few things you didn't know about the song Doctor, and I'm going to show you a few things people get wrong when remixing it. I don't find a problem with it because half the time I don't even notice it but sometimes there are some things. I think some people have listened to the song by ear and have attempted to write a remix using that and I get requests a lot to post a MIDI of this. Due to the fact I wrote it in PxTone that's really hard to do. There is also another reason, the song was built in such a way that it's really hard to give certain things from the song and I'll explain that as we go. 
     First things first all of the instruments except for the main three main three notes of the main chords which you know were written with instruments from the original [[artist:cave-story|Cave Story]]. If you listen to the drum track that's the original Cave Story drum soundtracks. All the other instruments are also from Cave Story. When I was originally writing the song I always wrote top down so believe it or not the first thing I wrote was the bassline. Then as I was going I added the drums, and from there I decided I should add an extra bassline. Once I added the extra bassline I decided it would be a good time to write an actual, you know, melody line. I was originally planning on using strings but I accidentally put in square waves and I fell in love with it right after I did it and I'm like "I can't switch this to strings now so I'm just gonna leave it as it is." 
     Now the rectangle waves [Note: Referring to the main melody of the song.] I'm focusing on right now are written in a really weird way, not one that I would normally use for writing on a piano or something like that. I wrote the top note first and I wrote the other notes just to harmonize with it. From there I wrote the second note. I obviously didn't write the third one yet, I just wanted to make sure it sounded right. From there I wrote the third note which was kind of a crapshoot but you know, why not. Now, the weird part was once I got to the part where it starts the arpeggiation I already had the instruments here but the problem was I had them on different stereo channels. Like this one was on the left speaker this one was on the right speaker and this one's in the center.

Its mostly taking inspiration from [[track:variations|Variations]] which was the album ender in the original [[album:the-felt|Felt album]]. Before this, I was going to make a [[track:jade-dragon|Jade Dragon]]-type song, but halfway through it started to take too long so I scrapped it. This, together with the usage of, "hi," helps to make the reader of the sentence believe that it is StarlightCalliope who typed out this sentence. Now the question is... why would this person need to mention that it was me, StarlightCalliope, if it would already state above their commentary that it was me? This begs the question, was this mysterious writer truly me all along, or was it really some mystery writer that I do not know the name of? This, is for you, the reader of this commentary booklet to figure out.

     I was listening to Demetori as I usually do and once thought "What if the source material for their arrangements wasn't Touhou ?" and of course the first thing that came to my mind was Homestuck, so I thought I could actually run with the idea ! [[Rex Duodecim Angelus]] in all it's dark neo-classical glory seemed like the perfect track to arrange in this style, though I only kept the original melodies and ideas from it so I wouldn't have to go down a rabbit hole of character themes that could derail the intent of the arrangement.
