Within a culture region, religion can cause people to have varying traditions,
holidays and customs (for example, some religions may forbid eating a certain
food, or suggest a specific clothing style, etc).

**Why do differences exist among culture regions within a single country?**

One reason is visitors from culture regions. The visitors may bring
characteristics of their own culture (such as religion, customs, farm plants,
language), and if that catches on with people in the area, they can start to
form their own culture region with its differences from the surrounding area.
