* hah. yeah. it was a sick joke.
* we left 'cause he sent a threat at us.
* for all we'd tried, it wasn't safe there anymore.
* a week later, he tricked someone into giving him our backup key.
* he got into our house.
* and
* he left boxes. of random junk. for us kids. his socks.
* and he left our cats. thanks. just being there, alone.
* not that it was any different where they were before but
* we hadn't had any pets for years. he'd taken them all before.
* so once we knew, we couldn't take care of them.
* we took them to that relocation place.
* y'know, where pets find new homes.
* one of our cats was sixteen.
* she was our mom's closest, longest animal friend.
