You seem to have found yourself in a jungle. How you’ve gotten here is anybody’s guess, but it won’t be denied that the place isn’t going to be very easy to traverse. There doesn’t seem to be an end to the number of relatively large red-tinted trees in whatever direction you look, each surrounded by densely-leaved branches that prevent you from seeing the sky or even the tops of the trees. You can hear a breeze from[1] above the canopy, but you can’t feel it from where you’re standing. Did you just hear a snake? You’re glad you can’t feel that... you can feel bugs getting at your exposed face, though! Though you’re in a small clearing (roughly four metres[2] across) that seems rather convenient, there aren’t any paths nearby. Rooted in the ground are quite a lot of thick bushes — you wouldn’t be able to crawl through them! Just a little higher up, branches are coming off of all these trees. It’s not going to be easy to duck under or go around them. Vines hanging from high above probably won’t make things any simpler for you, either. If only you had a tool to cut around these obstacles.. [1] Not sure how to word this - "hear a breeze FROM high up" is supposed to sound (no pun intended) like "a breeze that must be high up in the canopy can be heard" but it can also be interpreted as "a breeze right here that came from high up can be heard"... [2] I hate this spelling! Is there any similar unit that doesn't have some kind of absurd multiple spelling issue?
