HI GUYS I'm NoT DEAD

the last post I made before this was "tfw your foot spontaneously combusts" :gnu_slash_thinking:

and then i disappeared for a few hours :thinksung:

GOOD KNEWS:

baD KNEWS:

aLSO SCHOOl!!!!:yexd:

so I think "people" think I'm dead, because my blog hasn't had a new post for the last week.

but

nobody knows my blog exists.

however, I think I'm dead because I haven't written anything in the last week πŸ€”

What's your log
Blog

https://liam4.github.io/blog/

(also nobody comments which makes me Sad and makes it feel Worth Less; but to be fair I haven't 'advertised' it anywhere, and the only people who know of it don't care about the stuff I post there.)

Maybe i'd comment but then i'd have to sign up for disqus and stinky

stinky?
I don't see anything particularly bad with signing up for disqus

it takes fifteen seconds and I've literally never gotten an email from them (except maybe to sign up)

also, disqus is the easiest thing to use. ever. it's easier than making a site on wordpress.com, using their site builder.

so πŸ˜›

for embedding comments on a serverless website, there's basically no other option, and disqus is relatively popular.

half the gaming news sites i've seen use it, as do seventyfive percent of non-wordpress non-medium blogs I've seen

so.. sorry if you haven't made don't want to make an account. and rip me if nobody comments because nobody wants to make accounts;-;

that said! nobody commented on - or even acknowledged, lol - anything i posted on twitter. and that's the only place anybody really could know of my site, except for my scratch signature

so even if people did have the ability to post things on my posts, they probably wouldn't. ;upsidedown;

I'm making a blog

hopefully it'll get more attention than mine; i'll read it :ps:

I'll do my own comments thing because I don't need stinky :nonfree: js I feel like making my own

cool! i was considering making my own commenting thing, but.. well, it felt like two things.

like, i had an old blog [This one, probably] that i kinda expanded on a lot and focused too much on the code of it

..and in the end, i didn't write much at all

i feel a little bad for not posting anything on my blog lately.

it's like i'm disappointing a nonexistant audience, though - really only myself

and when i think about it, i don't feel too much guilt, since there hasn't been much for me to write about..

..but that circles around to the fact that i haven't made much lately

Write when you want to dude
Don't be the person who apologizes for not writing stuff

i've mostly been wasting my time, mindlessly Internettingβ„’

people like stuff whether it's daily, or weekly, or basicallynever-ly

so, mainly, i want to make something - draw something, program something, write something, whatever

but.. in part i haven't been motivated; part i just haven't gotten up to Do something

Same Tbh

when i could! i've already gotten a bunch of encouragement, that's been, encouraging -

- but it somehow hasn't lead to me doing anything.

same Tbh Fam πŸ’―

Welcome to the mysterious and wonderful world of ✨ Being a Teenager ✨

✨

i have a cool project im gonna make with my pi zero tho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

great, please post about that somewhere when you're done so i/we can see it! πŸŽ‰

ok
its gonna be a cool retropie thing!!!
it's not super special but i wanna make it cool

"...hasn't lead to me doing anything."
This is my problem.
Why is it so hard?!

exactly. i could get better at drawing things, and i want to draw things, and i (mostly.. :ps:) love drawing things, but i haven't drawn anything

I'm supposed to be making this servo "exercising" program for this robot and I'm almost done but I don't want to finish for some reason :ms:
Pro tip: get a notebook just for drawing w/ lines and bring it to school

>school
i'm homeschooled.jpeg

Oops
Bring it with you on car rides and family outings

:ps:

>going places
just kidding, usually

i like drawing too :( i've been doing it more recently though
i've had some cool ideas
i really like glitch art too and making that physically is actually really fun

yeah. i should draw things in a notebook

I usually just wind up wasting loose sheets of paper, but having a dedicated notebook that you can just go wild with is nice

I have a notebook but it's hard to keep up with my ideas in it
and it's also a mess
I also have a drawing notebook but I'm not great

i haven't drawn anything on paper since this - https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/150487204/ - which was done over a month ago.

i've mostly done digital art, actually; i like the capabilities of computers. plus, it's a bit easier to experiment with different styles i guess? dunno

I'm not great but I enjoy it. I think doing it is more important
i should post pics of my drawings and stuff!!!!!!!!!!! i like doing stuff idk

do you use a tablet or something
or a mouse

a trackpad of all things
halfway between

ow
You should get a cheap intuos. The small size is all you need

i'd love a tablet, haha, but it wouldn't help too much, i think? maybe it'd be The Big Difference, but i'm not really sure, and i can't bring myself to buy one quite yet

the big difference in motivating me to do more.

It really can be night and day
But it is very different from paper
A bar above trackpad, though. Promise.

Digital drawing is... weird for me.
I think digital art is cool but i thing it's cooler when it's more abstract and less drawn

i've never drawn on paper much.

i have this cool thing i drew earlier that i liked
i'll post tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!

yay. pls ping

ping me too!!1!!!!

It's not much even but i thought the idea was cool
and i wanna make something similar except more complex

hmm, i'm experiencing a bit of a discussion dilemma, lol.....

..see, i was going to ask how people use tablets that don't have screens

..but that's really the same as a trackpad??

except trackpads aren't accurate, dont work great with styluses? idk
and also BIGGER space to draw !

never used a stylus
i draw..with my finger :cs:

the macbook trackpad is relatively big. i've used much smaller, and significantly worse, trackpads

it shocks me there are trackpads that don't click when you press down on the pad

I don't know what to draw
I never know what to draw
Wait, really?

nor do i
my suggestion--

Listening :-D

idk, draw something from <Your Present Favorite Thing That Involves Art, Such As Comics>

Various in the chat shared some of their recent artworks.

i'm Legally required to post something i drew recently, i guess? i haven't drawn anything good lately..

em, ever, but,

Shortly later.

hahahahhaaha, do i get to post my thing

it's so stupidly boring. this doesn't make it look worse, just, ..boring.. πŸ˜›

the idea was to not use lineart.
so.

cool !

ooh nice

A couple more of others' artworks later. (People continued to share art throughout later messages.)

those are some fancy shapes. notebooks are much better for sketching things like that than computers

yeah
I like shapes

I also have some really crappy vector art on an old deviantart but that's old and I kinda prefer pencil stuff

re: my thing; it's okay, i guess. i've drawn better. all my drawings look boring and terrible, it's just that inanimate objects are inherently a lot harder to make interesting than living things, so

that picture has just slight meaning

nobody tried to figure out what the picture meant, because, nobody saw it

mouse art πŸŽ‰

my laptop charger is currently unavailable. so.
i can't really draw anything (and share it) right now:ss:

the mouse is the Worst

what programs do you guys use
I've only really used inkscape

i used GIMP to make my COOL logo on gh

I use gimp sometimes
to do photo editing ish stuff

I use medibangpaint

Medibang is cool
People still use FireAlpaca for some reason :thinksung:

^^^^ i'm always like, why?/??/

(the thing on the right turned out a lot less terrible than i expected. but it was literally random chance that made it not horrible. lol)

(the mouse is still the worst)

It is all about what you are used to.
It's really like drawing programs.
It doesn't matter what you use if you can use the tool well.

that's what i've heard, and seen, too

drawing art feels better than it did a week ago thonking

what should I try drawing now

an armband engraved with medallions; each with fancy patterns πŸ˜›

Draw a Triceratops.

idk if I can draw anything living

The triceratops is dissapointed.

modern art
like this?

yep!

aw.

Depict the demise of the dinosaurs.
Or, you know, you could do plants.

plANTS

here let's start a triceratops attempt

reference images

behind all these plants, surely demise will mean nothing to this triceratops

come hide too! :ta:

not going well

quick, improvise

It looks good

restarting

NICE.

what else should I draw

something on the topic of timezones;'im'tired11:13pmhelp
your profile picture? i'm presently not able to think πŸ˜›

trying to get the hang of this krita thing

what else
i've tried drawing my logo and it didn't turn out well

have you had any ideas, ever, in the back of your head? if you can think of one, draw that. and don't feel bad if it doesn't work right - just try drawing it again another day too.

yes but they're mostly programming ideas

i don't have any programming ideas anymore;-;

or ideason how to solve my math homework

- give it a shot, but if it's 10:30 in the night and it doesn't work perfectly, don't feel too bad πŸ˜›

not sure if I can draw
"torsion of the 3d curve"

head is not turning out very well
