Bird's Eye: Press square to toggle. Grants a view of the full battle arena, from a roughly top-down perspective. Entering Bird's Eye clears your camera setting, so you can double-tap square to reset the camera quickly at any point. Camera Mode 1: Dynamic. In general, focuses on the action. There is no way to configure this mode; it simply does what it wants to. Camera Mode 2: Follow Character. Gradually follows the selected character. Camera Mode 3: Follow Target. Follows the action pertaining to the selected character's actions - i.e, always contains that character and their target. Moves considerably faster than mode 2. Zoom level (distance from the characters) can be adjusted with the right stick. Camera Mode 4: Snap to Character. Instantaneously / rigidly positions the camera relative to the selected character's position and direction. As well as zoom, direction offset can be controlled with the right stick. In modes 2, 3, and 4, camera motion is always based on a single character. To change which character is selected, press left and right on the left stick or D-pad. Characters are always selected according to their order in the player and foe parties, i.e. P1 (Yuki) -> P2 (Alfina) -> P3 (Ulf) -> A (Sable) -> B (Sable) -> C (Skeleton Warrior) -> P1 -> etc. Dead party members count in this list and can be selected, but not dead enemies. No camera mode affects camera behavior for special moves, magic, items, etc.
