We grew up with Grandia III and that game had frickin coasts in it

And also jungles and mountains and stuff, but in real life? Nah

In real life we had coasts

So coasts are probbo the most video gamey, like, escapish place for us... We like ‘em a lot

I was also thinkin’ on Dragon Quest IX’s world a little (sorta had that game occupying mind early this morning)

Grandia makes us feel a lot more about scale and expanse, but DQ9 has beautiful shapes to its landscape. Perimeters that go really understated bc the visual perspective is so... well, cute, but kinda dry heheh

We only grew up with Dragon Quest VIII a little, cuz we never got far in that game and sorta treated it as like... as tho our parents owned it, ‘stead of us? But I believe its a bittufa blend between the two sorta angles in the games above... Id like to spend some time in that world. (Maybe in both the ps2 and 3ds perspectives, tbh)
