"Can you see me in color?"

"Can you see me in color?"

Color practice. We've had a difficult time getting used to shading and blending, so for a change, this piece works more with texturing and layering. We still ended up panicking basically through every decision-on-a-whim, but we like how it turned out lol

The pencil sketch is almost humorously plain in comparison, but that was on purpose. We laid it out a little like a coloring book page: clear and careful borders for the different color/material areas, which we'd build on with coloring, next. It makes for a different sketching experience than our normal, for sure.

We care a lot about texturing, so playing with color in a way that lifts that up which greys alone can't, is rewarding. We also thought it was hilarious how basically no one (cough, any nsfw artist) can agree what Whisper's fur pattern looks like. We clearly had to throw our hat in the ring.
