- Okay so when I make songs I usually start out with a dumb gimmick and then I haphazardly flesh it out to an acceptable point (ex. with 72.0x SHOWDOWN COMBO it was the name, with Tick and Tock it was the songs being able to be layered and panned, and with Ringleader it was the time signature). Here I sort of started out with that--I was buying Dr. Pepper for a meme at the grocery store when an 11/8 tune came into my mind and I decided to run with it. It was pretty standard, and as usual I made progress rather slowly. The idea was to slowly build up time signatures to reflect the song building up in intensity and soundscape thickness (you might be able to pick out the song going from 11/8, to 12/8, to 13/4, to 14/8, to 4/4). Then later that week Cecily Renns gave a whole spiel on how people take too long to make songs for the sake of making them "the best ever" and that in order to improve we should be maximizing speed over quality to gain experience in retrospect. At first I said "okay that's a good idea maybe I'll do that" but then I thought to myself "no, f*** that, I'm going to do whatever the hell I want with this dumb song, it doesn't even need a gimmick". So I did that, and it took a long time, and it was a little bit tiring, but it was fun. I'll probably do this more often: just having fun.

The song uses a lot of synths, which is relatively new to me. But it was interesting to get a little bit more room to work with, EQ-wise. Also, my motif spacing was really weird. There's this one section before the piano Aggrieve where I vomited out like 3 or 4 motifs because I realized I wasn't being canwc-relevant enough. Probably the hardest part of making the song was the length. In general, it's really hard for me to make anything longer than 2 minutes because I hate looping/repeating sections.
- At the end of the day I guess the song was supposed to serve as the next in a long line of "songs that Crypt made to experiment with new genres"" but I think Spacetime Starstriker sounds too much like a more realized form of Light at the End of the Tunnel from Train Game. But hey, it got me to listen to more electronic music, which I almost never do outside of Homestuck. If I never release my solo album, imagine this as track three. Well, have fun with the rest of the album. It's probably our best one. Don't let Makin tell you otherwise. MEME

- Back in April, Gorillaz were getting ready to release their new album Humanz. With some coaxing from CaNMT members, I decided to create a mashup for the YouTube channel that would combine the Gorillaz track "Saturnz Barz" with the various trailer music we've heard so far in Hiveswap. Part of the song was set to go with a Hiveswap trailer as a SiivaGunner-esque bait and switch, and the whole song would be uploaded as a Gorillaz rip. While initially successful, the latter rip was actually striked off of the channel, and the former video was privated to avoid another strike. I later released in on my SoundCloud and am now releasing it on 9 so that you all can hear it once more! As for the song itself, I stuck true to Saturnz Barz' original structure and made sure the Hiveswap music went well with the stops and skips in the song. I also snuck some other Homestuck music in there to make the rip more dynamic. Enjoy!

When Secretz Barz was originally uploaded onto the YouTube channel, it didn't have any special track art. For its release on my SoundCloud, I decided to give it some! I decided to go with a straight parody of the Humanz cover, replacing the members of Gorillaz with various characters from Hiveswap. I stuck with 3D models only to mirror the detailed 3D avatars of the Gorillaz' members on the Humanz cover, and I also tried to arrange the characters in ways that were reminiscent of the poses on the original cover. The end result is something I'm quite proud of. Also, just so we're clear, I made this more than a month before the existing cover to 9 was made, so any refrance is entirely coincidental.

- Don't let the name fool you, this song mostly exists because I wanted to do something with Dialup from Vol 8 which is a song I like way too much. I decided to do what I always do: make a chiptune thing combining it with other random songs, and slap the Moshi label on it for good measure. I think it turned out pretty well even though I'll probably never surpass that one song from my solo album that's on Greatest Hits. I'm not joking, Makin literally told me to make this more like that song.

Bob drew the NES, the Nintendo-esque "Cool and New Music Team" logo at the bottom, and the CANMT-Tan Seal of Approval. He also sketched up a general outline for how the image would go, which I followed the best I could (while also putting my own take on it). His sketch for Moshi Moshi's boxart looked like Dr. Eggman lying down on a level of Super Mario Bros., so... that's what I drew. The quotes on the upper-left are also taken verbatim from the image outline, because I think they're perfect the way they are. The background with the fuchsia lines is actually an image from one of the endgame levels of FEZ. I included it because I thought it looked 80s, I guess. This entire image was meant to feel dated, like it was actually from thirty years ago, so I tried to reference some NES-era boxarts (like Mega Man 2) with how I wrote the text. Lastly, I added a sepia filter over the whole thing to sell the whole "thirty years ago" aesthetic. Bob, if you're reading this, I hope I did good.

Each section of the song represents a significant self-observed character trait of Jaed: Wacky, unfortunate and possibly psychotic. It's composition is reminiscent of Radiation's composition style (of course), but I tried to at least keep it my own style in the later half of the song. Although I might make an extended version in the future, perhaps with certain animal noises... Keep a look out for that! :D

The original idea for this art was a mish-mash of a bunch of scenes from the "Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny" Flash animation made around a decade ago (you know the one) into one image, replacing the characters from the flash with the relevant characters from this song. I got as far as drawing Jhon staring at Lord Spanish/English before realizing that it would be way too cluttered and unnecessary, so instead Split and I searched through the entire animation to try and find a scene that we could use. I decided on copying a still where Mr. Rogers is shedding a single tear for all that fell in the majestic battle. Dabe isn't the victor of the "O"down (spoilers!), but since he's shown crying all the time in CANWC, I decided to draw him. (I also didn't feel like spoiling the ACTUAL victor.) And that's pretty much all there is to it.

I never actually used any of what I learned other than how it's supposed to sound and what types of instruments are used. + <i>StarlightCalliope:</i> (Composer)
+ Dear god, where do I even start talking about this song? As I’m pretty darn sure you can tell based on both the title, theme, and general feel of the song, this song is intended to be a, “Descend-like,” medley for Cool and New Webcomic. It’s taken a long time to finish working on, (300 hours and work on it since January!!), but I am honestly really proud of how this song turned out. In the song, I referenced... about 44 different songs? Primarily songs released by this very Cool and New Music Team, with a decent bit of songs coming from the Homestuck Music Team, and one reference to a song from the, “[[album:weird-puzzle-tunes|Weird Puzzle Tunes]],” album.
+
+ I think one of my favourite things about this, at least in terms of composing, was setting up specific musical ideas/motifs (and that’s the regular use of the term motif, not leitmotif/reference you fricks) and capitalizing on those ideas/motifs throughout the song. One of the most key ideas to the song as a whole, that’s rather integral to it feeling as fast as it does in certain sections, is the use of 32nd notes during portions using Synths. This is first set up during the Moshi Moshi section, and I used this repeatedly in the song both as a way to build tension and keep the listener engaged, and to add an extra bit of cohesivness to the piece as a whole. Repeating references/ideas is another method I used. Such as ending the song the same way it started, with this weird synthy thing from Final Fantasy 6 that has a bunch of delay on it playing a chord. I started the song using an E Minor chord using that thing, and ended the song on a big resolution using an E Major chord. Another example of this was through starting the song off using the same clocks that were used in [[track:cascante|Cascante]], and ending the song with those same clocks. (Albiet, it’s the end of the main part of the song, before the [[track:penumbra-phantasm|Penumbra]]-esque bit on the piano with the Horrorterror noises.)
+
+ Honestly, this track is by and far the song that I’ve put the most effort into out of everything that I’ve tried to make thus far, and I really am proud of it. Although, I do feel like the mixing is a tad lacklustre and there’s literally no mastering. I suppose this shows that I probably should try to improve in terms of Production, though according to a decent portion of the team I am fairly good at Composition, as based on this piece. Really, I am happy with it, and I’m glad to have finally made a song for a main album, as this is my first time doing so. I really hope you folks enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed composing it! :)

In their place, I wanted something that was firmly rooted in CANWC, and what bette than a song about everyone’s favorite Act 4 walkaround character, Nakkin’ Ned? Many of the parts of this song were taken from the Bassnectar remix of Beats Antique’s “Roustabout” (go listen to it), and many of the other elements were fittingly inspired by Genesis Frog’s “Buy NAK Sell DOOF”. Thanks to everyone who supplied me with naks (I had so many i didnt even have to record myself), and especially those who went above and beyond, namely [[artist:sylvarn|underscore’s]] UN Owen Was Her? naks and [[artist:cecily-renns|JohnJRenns’]] nak soundfont. Putting in the Crazy Frog song (you know the one,) Extraterresterial, Waters of Nazareth, and all those standard Homestuck leitmotifs you know and love into a re-instrumentated-from-scratch package that I hope does the original justice was a treat. That “”guitar solo”” at the end was all improvised and I think it turned out pretty well. I knew I couldn't hope to match Tensei's skill so I just threw caution to the wind and hoped for the best. - As I was looking through the possible flashes to work on, nothing struck me with more joy than JOHN THIS IS NO TIME FOR SLUMBER. Right when I heard that first group of violins come in in the original song, it was at that point, I knew. I had to do my work. It was a sunny September day. There was a humid summer air, yet, it felt as if the end of the unbearable heat was in sight. I opened up my DAW of choice, and knew what had to be done. As the song came together, there was only one thing that I could think of that would make this song great. Little did I know that this choice would have immediate repercussions on this song. As I placed the GM Trumpet onto the pattern, my heart sank. However, this sinking wasn't because of sadness, it was because of great joy. I had created a masterpiece. This masterpiece, however, had to be handled masterfully. There was only one thing that I could do: A sprite replacement. The following is a screenshot of the commentary spreadsheet, where a heated 'discussion' took place on this track. I have decided preserve its original format in the spirits of both preservations and compactness. As I opened up Flash, and replaced all of the sprites with our favorite protagonist, the work only got better from there. I replaced the audio, and moved the cursor over to the "Preview" button. Did I want to click it? Did I want to find out what would happen if I pressed that button. Yes. Yes I did. I clicked play. My jaw dropped. It was as if I was in a pit of crocodiles, dauntlessly staring death into the eyes, and proceeding to say "fuck you", as this magnificent savior rescues me. Tears were streaming down my face. Emotions were being tampered with. It was a work of gods. I exported my masterpiece, and from then on, the world was never the same.

- Like my later song on the album, this was me messing around on my piano, but making a more serious thingie. Doing CANHS in a more serious manner (all my other ones have been jokes) is a funny thing; you have to make a song that fits the feel of the flash while avoiding replicating the original song. I got a boost here by not being the first person to replace the music on this flash; Radiation did it when Bolin left, and I still prefer the original, which is why the opening is a riff on his opening. I went for a much softer approach than Toby's harsh synths/strings for the second half, too.

- Cookie, please, we all know that We Are Number One is a vastly superior Siiva meme to Snow Halation. Snow Halation would make this the worstest song on the soundtrack. Anyways, I'll start talking about the song itself. Originally, I was inspired by how one Homestuck Musician, (if I recall correctly it was Jit,) said that he felt like Crystalanthemums was going to be Jade's Land Theme. As this was to be a remix for Jade's Land reveal, my original starting concept was, "Frost but with Crystalanthemums." I had started a version of this concept back before CANH2 had even been released, although I mostly reworked this old version from the ground up. The only thing that really remained unchanged was the Violin Arpeggio. I had planned to use Frog Forager as a continuation melody to Crystalanthemums at this time, but that melody didn't quite seem to fit the song, and I instead replaced it with a change to the Drum Beat at that point (said drum beat pretty heavily inspired/referencing Crystamanthequins or whatever the name was for the one in [S] Make Her Pay. One part of this song I am overall dissatisfied with is the Cymbals that come in near the end of the portion referencing Courser. I originally had a version where I had arranged the Cymbals in a manner where I was happy with them, but this version was poorly mastered and I was too lazy to transcribe what I had done for the old version. Anyways, I feel like this song was very much useful in helping me figure out how to better arrange orchestral percussion lines and to not make them completely uninteresting.

- Act 6 Act 6 Act 5 is one of my favorite flashes in the comic solely because of its comedic value, so I wanted to do the song justice with my artwork. And what better way to do that than by including some PURE ART SKILL? I know that that pose shows up in A6A6A4 (and later in A7), and not in this act, but the opportunity was too good for me to pass up. I used the actual PURE ART SKILLS as reference for Caliborn's body, added some lasers and gradients for effects, and it was good to go. But there was something missing. Something that the art so desperately needed. What I'd created, I came to realize, wasn't actually art at all. Like Cool and New Webcomic, it was a shaker of boundaries - a metastasizing amalgam of memes that toppled the boundaries between shitposts and reality. This didn't involve PURE ART SKILL at all, I realized. It was PURE "O" SKILL.

Fun fact 2x combo: I didn't actually make this song for act7 originally. Regardless of that, it was a pleasure to make this song for any productive work, and to have hadron remake it in his own style. This song was made without any real acquired inspiration from other songs, which believe it or not is what I typically don't do when I make music. I really like the way I arranged the song, and how it sorta shifts into a piratey theme towards the second half in the full version (I'm not sure if that makes it into the overall act 7 theme).

SUDDENLY, THE LONGEST PART WRITTEN BY ONE PERSON COMES. This section was made in the span of about 2 days, after the people originally slotted in for this section bailed/didn't finish/were rejected. I think it kind of shows? Still, even if I'm not entirely happy with my piece for this collaboration, it at least blends well with the next section. (Fun fact, originally, the second half of this was just snow halation layered over the original audio. Sadly, that was rejected, but I kept its memory alive with a snow halation piano arrangement instead.)

- This is by far the most complicated piece of art I've done for the team yet. Since the album itself is split into two halves about both the Felt and Midnight Crew, I wanted both parties to have equal representation on the cover. (I was planning on having Vrasky/Snowman included, but it was really hard to find space for her - everyone's super close together as is! So I settled on having her hat/horns resting on the piano.) An idea quickly sprang forth - the entire Felt, staring in horror at the shitty Midnight Crew. The Midnight Crew's poses and positions in this cover mimic how they looked on Drawing Dead (plus blush on the cheeks!). Since I've had a couple people ask - none of this is ripped from Homestuck. I drew all of it myself! I did use a ton of reference though, from the aforementioned album cover and images on the wiki. The background is based off of the Felt Manor's first appearance in the CANWC intermission. All the colors are adapted from The Inaugural Death of Mister Seven. Originally, the entire Felt was supposed to be monochromatic, but after some people told me to change up the color scheme, I realized that this effect made everything kinda pop, and look a lot more unique. I'm really proud of this piece! I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you enjoy everyone else's contributions to this album! I know I do.

The intermishin album provided the best possible motivation to actually get down and do this. I'm not super happy with the song honestly, but it was something I felt I had to make to complete the plan I made all the way back.

- I actually started production on this song before the idea for Intermishin developed. Someone had an idea to mash up Liquid Negrocity and We Are Number One, and I jumped at the opportunity after realizing how similar the chord progressions were. Originally this was going to go on a later album, but after realizing that this was originally a Drawing Dead song I decided to move it to this release. I wanted it to begin in a similar way to my first song "The Endless Black" before quickly diving off the rails into pure insanity. I wanted the song itself to have the instrumentation of WANO with the bass and piano providing the Black-bone, if you will (and I certainly shall.) Robbie's distinctive voice tied the whole thing together, and I had a lot of fun chopping and echoing it up throughout the song. To break up the main idea, I put in a Ballad of Jack Noir-esque tune near the end that I think really helped charge the song with some energy. And of course, it ends in a big finish before fading out in the same way as Liquid Negrocity. This track was pretty complicated to produce, but I think it turned out very well in the end in terms of balance!
- Fun fact: there's a reference to Siiva's first WANO rip in the song. I wonder if you can spot it...?

The basic idea here is pretty simple - combine Spades Sleck and Robbie Rotten to get utter hell. The background is meant to invoke the first panel of the Intermishin - you can see the gateways, the flame, the shitty rug, and a clock throughout the image. At first I just wanted to draw a hyperrealistic version of Sleck's shitty head, but along the way that turned into making his head be a reasonable facsimilie of Robbie's own head. I also modeled Sleck's knife off of the knife he wields very early on, but tried to make it look three-dimensional, once again attempting to convey a hyperrealistic shitty drawing. I made this track art before the album cover, and looking back, those principles are clearly echoed in it as well. The Midnight Crew's lines look pretty much as clean as the Felt because of how "hyperrealistically shitty" I went, so I had to go back and .jpeg them up a bit. I didn't do that with this because... I'm lazy??

In many ways midnight suffer was a really Jack Noir feeling song, so I decided to remix/remaster it so that it sounded much more improved. Fittingly the intermishin album idea came into fruitition while I was just finishing the remaster so luckily I had a song for the MC side. I am fairly happy with how it sounds. It took me ages to get the mixing right, and even then I still think certain parts of the song could be improved. Nonetheless I had fun making it and I hope you enjoy it!

One day I guess I decided to stop being shit at music. I don't remember what inspired me to make this, but I really wanted to try using different instruments and take advantage of certain patterns. I am a bit stubborn when it comes to making music, as most of what I compose I try to make without referencing motifs, so I wanted to make my own. Something catchy and, more importantly, GOOD. I made something good, but it was short, and Felt (pun entirely intended) like an introductory track. That's when Difarem swooped in and asked for a midi of the song, which he then turned into something AMAZING. All of the motifs you hear in this song aside from the original ~30 seconds of the song were all added by him, and I have to say they were added quite masterfully. I had once planned to make this be the first of a set of tracks for every member of the Felt, but I only ended up making around 5 or 6 tracks. Most of them were garbage, so you aren't missing out on much.

JohnJRenns serves a similar function to the whale in the Homestuck fanmusic community, being an unholy and incomprehensible terror that we all flee at the name off. Of course, the novel would not be complete without copious referencing to the most famous novel of *that* era, namely Homestuck by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Some even consider the character of the white whale to be loosely based off the character of Sawbuck from the earlier Homestuck, both being huge masses of blubber which show little to no indication of intelligence. This piece of music was composed to represent the slow, onerous march of Sawbuck, unstoppable, his forward progression inevitable, no wounds slowing him down. Under any circumstances, do not attempt to attack Sawbuck, for this *will* backfire. Could you face off in a head-to-head against this time-bending monstrosity? searching around for a CANWC page to make a track art out of, i came across a funny scene of hecka jef being accosted by furry prospit guards after jaed spots him not wearing a fursuit. it looked very neat for doing a track art, and i figured that people could easily make a song for it using motifs for hecka jef and jaed, so i did it! (this is now several months old at this point :O can you believe it??)

     <i>Pipko Fanfare:</i> (Composer)
- Before I picked this track art to do a song for, I knew I wanted to try to pull off something similar to what CANWC itself does - the seamless mixing of remarkably low quality with suprisingly high quality, based on familiar homestucky goodness but with some unexpected twists - more like Vol 1 than our more recent (at the time) work. I also wanted to play with some more of Jade's tracks, and with the prositan guards under her control this was one of the track arts that would let me do so. (The other option at the time was Yiff Confirmed, which I may have chosen instead except it was the same artist as Thank You For Playing and I wanted to spread the love around more. Besides, this art is *awesome*.)

Unlike nearly everything I've done here, this track had a surprising amount of planning before I set down the first note. For the sake of history, here's my original plan for the structure of the piece, cut and paste from discord
- uu but the piano intro is h*cka (probs sbhj theme) then 0:25 low-quality uu with barks and meows then 0:45 kick into higher quality to build up to 0:55 hq except with a mario paint bark lead then at 1:20 at the melody switch go to a skaia theme or something instead for the prospitans but keep the style of uu, 1:56 refrain of hj intro, 2:15 8-bit dogsong holy shit this song is longer than i remembered
+ [[track:umbral-ultimatum|uu]] but the piano intro is [[track:where-making-this-hapen|h*cka (probs sbhj theme)]] then 0:25 low-quality uu with barks and meows then 0:45 kick into higher quality to build up to 0:55 hq except with a mario paint bark lead then at 1:20 at the melody switch go to a skaia theme or something instead for the prospitans but keep the style of uu, 1:56 refrain of hj intro, 2:15 8-bit dogsong holy shit this song is longer than i remembered
(Okay, so that's only a lot of planning compared to my usual zero. And you can see I changed my mind on a few things later.)
Cookiefonster made the frytumes while I was still working on the beginning sections, and let's be real it's way better than I could have done!
- I tried a few different techniques to represent The Corruption, some revisited from Vol 1 tracks, some new. For example, in the section from 0:30 to 0:50 alone I utilized pitch bending the master channel, intentionally knocking different instrument tracks slightly out of alignment or tempo, and of course good old fashioned craptastic soundfonts. A little after the two minute mark, you'll hear some mouth sounds from me, even some coughing if you listen close enough! Overall, I feel like I was much more successful at the "low quality" portions than the "high quality" ones here, but that's part of the learning process.

- OK so I found out there were still unclaimed track arts for jpeg a couple of days before the deadline. My first instinct was to pick this one since any opportunity to utilise the Calliope themes Voidlight and The Lyrist, by Thomas Ferkol, is a good opportunity to me. Of course, the other important character here is Jack Noir, who I represented with Walk-Stab-Walk by Erik Scheele, a lovely piece with wonderful melodies tbh, as well as an attempt to incorporate features of Archagent Everlasting by JohnJRenns (and I say an attempt because that song is dissonant as hell god *damn*). Reverie by Alexander Rossetti makes an appearance in the synth arps, faultily transcribed by yours truly. And then there's Carne Vale, which is strictly speaking a Caliborn theme, but Caliborn is an important player in the grand theory of a Derse-less Cherub Session. So I combined these motifs into this tune presented here, the steady pulsing rhythm of the first half somewhat inspired by To Cross The Void by NiceWizard from Redditstuck Vol. 2, and the second half perhaps subconsciously inspired by Another Chance by Eston 'Silence' Schweickart, from One Year Older. Having put that together I figured I'd put a drum solo at the end, being entirely devoid of other ideas as to how close off the piece. I'd like to think that I did the art justice on the whole.

I tried to go all-out for this one, creating a chopped and screwed soundscape to suit a character such as Davepeta. I incorporated themes suited to both Dave and Nepeta, with a little bit of Undertale music as well to tie everything together! I think you can understand why if you pay attention to the name of this track. All in all, I tried to make this song serious yet suitably silly for Davepeta's character (notice the meows?) and I hope I succeeded.

It took me too long to do the stars, about a week or something like that, but I got them done and that's all that matters. I added the Vrasky not too long after.
So yeah. That's the story about how a little edit to an old project stemmed into the cover for an album, and a project that I consider one of my best.
Overall, making the Volume 8 cover was a really fun project, and helping this team (and the team helping me) has been the greatest thing I've experienced in years, maybe ever.
I hope you have fun (or had fun, if you're reading this retroactively) with the album. Stay safe out there.

- Making this song was absurdly fun. It was the first time I've really got to make another version of someone else's song, and I enjoyed what I could do with it. It's not a huge song, and especially not a crazy song in any way shape or form. It was just a small idea that ended with me putting it on the album. And yes, it doesn't sound like a touhou song at all. I'm not a mad man, and especially not ZUN in the slightest :)

Dabestep's melody was something I initially came up with on the piano as a concept melody, which eventually got transcribed as a proper song. It originally didn't sound this solid and full on, with it instead being more of a typical light chiptune that I didn't plan to go anywhere further with. Eventually, due to choice, I made the triangle wave louder and the drums louder still, which you can hear in the original version.
- Xoro heard the song, added drums plus bitcrushing at transition points, and this is the result. I got to say, he improved the song completely, as the drums go very well with the arrangement of the overall tune. He did a great job knowing what rhythm the drums would have! The original version is on the soundtest, if that interests you.

- One day I thought, hey I wonder how well Death by Glamour sounds combined with Conflict. This idea started as a simple high quality rip concept but it turned into this monstrosity of a song instead. Instead of transcribing the original song precisely except for melodies to replace with Conflict, I added a lot of my own doodling and interpretations of parts. Thanks to dragonChaser for helping with harmonizing that high piano part. In the later parts of the song I decided to use Tick to replace Metal Crusher which it was supposedly based on, and Snow Halation in the sax part because I don't need to explain why. I'm firmly convinced that last part is better than the original, and not even just because of DVS Sax.

It doesn't have the grandure that I wanted to achieve, but I didn't really know how to improve it. In retrospect I would probably have referenced a different song. I tried to reference Cool and New Webcomic music motifs as much as possible, but I also included a few others for shits and giggles or because a certain part of the song reminded me of it. I also tried to use iconic soundfonts and VSTs such as DVS Sax (Used in Black), Zunpets (Touhou Trumpets), Earthbound Overdriven Guitar (Used in MeGaLoVania) And two string soundfonts from Hopes and Dreams and Upward Movement. My favorite part is the mashup of Michael Bowman Remix and a U.N. Owen Was Her acapella; and my least favorite part is the transition right after that. I really like Ska music so a lot of the parts of my song are inspired by it. All and all, I'm happy with the song, though there are some things I would have done differently in retrospect.
