Serpaz swallows back the acid that rises in her throat. She can’t bring herself to answer any of his questions, but she must. She caused this, and whatever else is happening to her friends, she’s the only one who can stop it.

And then she’ll figure out how to get them back to the way they were.

+ So this track's a bit interesting. I happened to be working on a pokemon themed Laivan track for Vol.6 while the Halloween Album was being developed. I initially pitched an early version of track song for the album but it was rejected for being too upbeat to fit the vibe of the album. So instead I decided to re-arrange the melody from the original to make it more halloween-y sounding. I also added bits and pieces from [[track:be-all-end-all|End All, Be All]] from vol.4 and [[False Security]] from False Security Vol.5 Side 1 because they were both Serpaz motifs. I think of this song as a bit of a taster of what I have cooking for Vol.6 more than anything else. Perhaps you'll get to hear a finished version of that original demo one day...
