     This is by far the most complicated piece of art I've done for the team yet. Since the album itself is split into two halves about both the Felt and Midnight Crew, I wanted both parties to have equal representation on the cover. (I was planning on having Vrasky/Snowman included, but it was really hard to find space for her - everyone's super close together as is! So I settled on having her hat/horns resting on the piano.) An idea quickly sprang forth - the entire Felt, staring in horror at the shitty Midnight Crew. The Midnight Crew's poses and positions in this cover mimic how they looked on [[album:midnight-crew-drawing-dead|Drawing Dead]] (plus blush on the cheeks!). Since I've had a couple people ask - none of this is ripped from Homestuck. I drew all of it myself! I did use a ton of reference though, from the aforementioned album cover and images on the wiki. The background is based off of the Felt Manor's first appearance in the CANWC intermission. All the colors are adapted from The Inaugural Death of Mister Seven. Originally, the entire Felt was supposed to be monochromatic, but after some people told me to change up the color scheme, I realized that this effect made everything kinda pop, and look a lot more unique. I'm really proud of this piece! I hope you enjoy it, and I hope you enjoy everyone else's contributions to this album! I know I do.

     Hello cool and new fans, its ya boy yazshu here, with an introduction to this album. this album has been in development hell for a pretty long time, and around after the release of [[album:bowmania|bowmania]] or [[album:v8lume|vol 8]], i forget which, we really stepped up production of this with nights and i at the helm. the way this album works by instead of having the track art reflect the music, the music reflects the track art. we started out with our very talented and also our shitposting motherfuckers making a ton of art, which then got cut down to these (and one or two others that didn't get music made for them, one of which being a nutshack track which will be very sadly missed). after the track art was judged, we allowed musicians to pick art and compose a song for them. we have some of our best arts in this album, with [[artist:sozzay|sozzay]], [[artist:shadok|shadok]], [[artist:william-leonard|william]], [[artist:scarodactyl|scarodactyl]], [[artist:ephemerald|twinbuilder]], and a ton others highlighting how good our art team really is. nights and i really love this album and all the hard work everyone put into it, and we're really glad for it to finally see the light of day after all this time.      Let me tell you a little story that starts from [[album:cool-and-new-volume-v|Volume V]]. The art team were having an "let's go through our art and see how much it sucks" binge, when I came across my track art for "[[i need an abumbalnce!!.mp3]]" and saw the LOWAS in the top left corner. The first thing I thought to myself was "hey, I could make that better." And so the editing of the original begins, and I end up with this. After getting a lot of positive reception and people asking me to make other planets, I decided to do this: start (and finish) LOHAC, then move on to LOLAR, then finally LOFAF. Over the course of working on LOHAC (which took too long to make the base circle of) I realized that I wasn't going to do anything with them, effectively making these for no reason. About this time is where I had the idea of arranging them in a Volume 8 cover fashion because, hey, I had the planets, I could do the thing, what's to lose?
     After finishing LOHAC, [[artist:xenozane|XenoZane]] (sup booklet guy) asked me to do LOLAR, and as a joke, I decided to do LOLAF, Rose's CANWC planet instead. That joke was the only reason I had LOLAF handy and decided to do LODAR soon after finshing LOLAR. (and by soon after i mean the same day)
